Sure, race season is 5 months away, but it’s never too early to start planning to provide essential communication services for local mountain bike and running events. These events test our ability to set up a mobile communication capability and operate under ever-changing conditions, and allow us to incorporate new technologies such as Meshtastic, AREDN and Winlink to keep organizers informed. This year, we will take advantage of the new multi-use comm trailer, which will make setup and operation so much easier. We will start advance sign-ups at our ARES meeting this month, so check your calendars and see which events you would like to join. Here’s a list of the spring events so far:
