Following their successful training events on NVIS and Winlink, Colorado ARES will present a session on successful use of ATV! Put this on your calendar for Saturday, July 18th at 0900.

What is ATV? In the ham radio world ATV means Amateur Television, which is a capability we can use to improve situational awareness for first responders and emergency managers. Join us Saturday, July 18th for our next section wide ARES training – Amateur Television (ATV) for Improved Situational Awareness. This two hour training starts at 9:00 AM, and will be presented by the ATV team of Boulder and Broomfield County ARES (BCARES). BCARES has been using ATV for many years to provide their served agencies with improved situational awareness. They are now using second generation ATV gear and have embraced digital ATV. In this training you will learn about the RF, video codec, and camera equipment that BCARES deploys and hear about their experiences using ATV to support the mission of their served agencies. Zoom meeting details will be sent to ECs when we are closer to this scheduled event.
