CoARES SET moved to October 26th

In the past, the ARRL ARES Simulated Emergency Test (SET) has been held on the first Saturday in October.  This year, at the request of many members, the event will be held on October 26, 2024.  Lately, participation has been limited due to members who were participating in hunting season and other activities that competed with the SET on the first weekend in October.  ARRL regulations don’t require the SET to be on the first Saturday, so the decision was made to push it back to get maximum involvement.  The SET planning team has already started to put together exercise scenarios and procedures.  Last year (2023) was the first time the entire Colorado ARES team worked together across the state, and despite some growing pains, it was a useful event.  This year, the team is working on tightening up the exercises to ensure that all ARES participants across the state have meaningful learning opportunities.
