Those of you who are members of Colorado AuxComm may have already received this from Emit Hurdelbrink, the AuxComm Assistant State Coordinator, but I’m including his e-mail below regarding AuxComm updates:

Just a short note to update everyone on our activities. We have received several grants for projects since the first of the year. This funding included new radio equipment in the State EOC, replacement DMR repeaters the Pueblo area, 10 replacement DTR radios for staff, two HF go-kits (radios, antennas, SCS modem) and a Winlink SHARES RMS station. We have received SHARES callsigns for the go-kits that can be used state-wide. We have also been successful in getting a remote HF station at West Creek operational utilizing our CODAN Envoy radios. Next on that project is to get the station into an ALE network with phone patch capabilities. Administratively, the DHSEM program manager left the state which caused a reporting structure change. This gave us an opportunity to review and update all member’s records for missing items. The state has approved six AUXC Position Task Books so we now have a cadre to work with on a review process. Sometime this year, we will be setting up training on all the AUXC equipment and scheduling additional classes. We continue to look for opportunities to involve AUXC members across the state. If you have ideas, please let us know. Thanks for your continued support.
