Ran across this switch on Amazon.  I will probably get one to play with.

The key features:

• 12-48v input via a wire block - so easily connected to a 12 volt battery
• 1GB Ethernet - not 100MB like some of the other models
• Works in -40 to 167° F
• DIN Rail Mounts for putting it in some kind of go box

Once I have one and try it out, I will follow up with another post.
