Colorado Volunteer Mobilizer (CVM) is the part of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that credentials volunteers at the State level.  Colorado ARES has set up an agreement with CVM to provide recordkeeping and messaging for Colorado ARES members.  By going to the CVM website, you can register and upload your various emergency communication credentials and get a free background check, which is required by most State agencies for participation at events.  Once you’ve completed and uploaded your IS-100 and IS-700 certificates, you can apply for a State-issued photo ID which will identify you as an ARES volunteer.  The process is easy, and just requires a bit of time to fill out all the tabs and upload your certificates.  If you have any questions, let me know and we can go through the process.  Here’s the link:
