The annual Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is almost here! All of the ARES Regions and Districts in Colorado have chosen October 26th to conduct the annual test of our emergency communication capabilities. The CoARES SET team is doing things a little differently this year – we’ve assigned Inject Coordinators to decide which scenarios from the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) to deliver to each District. That way, we won’t know exactly what the disaster or emergency is going to be. We need to be prepared to launch our response based on last-minute information. We’ll be setting up Incident Communication Centers, and filling in slots with our partner agencies to simulate real-world activities. A sign-up is going out on Google Forms this week. You can sign up for a position that interests and challenges you! Look for the e-mail with the form, and contact Chip NØWKR if you don’t see the e-mail. You can also use the link below to access the form. See you there!
