Every ARES member and emergency communication specialist should be familiar with the repeaters, digipeaters and data frequencies in their area of operations.  Over the past couple of years, diligent efforts by members of the local amateur radio community have given us a wide variety of options to communicate and transmit data, not only over the traditional analog systems, but with new digital technology as well.  A linked DMR repeater to the Rocky Mountain Ham system has added RM Wide and RM Central talkgroups, and we now have other DMR and Yaesu System Fusion (YSF) capabilities, too.  Recently, the Vara FM/VarAC technology has been expanded, and packet nodes have been added on Black Ridge and Ute Butte.  Also, we continue to develop the Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network (AREDN) system in the valley.  Many hams have been involved, but we would like to especially thank Bill KØDZ, Steve KEØBPD and Keri N2KNK for the research and development (and many trips up to Black Ridge) to make this happen.  See the links below to a printable PDF as well as a link to the Repeaters, Digipeters, BBS and Data Frequencies page on the WØRRZ website.
